I have heard so much about blogging, and I think I would just love it… BUT I am still confused about how to make money from blogging.
And not only that, but what are the details? Ad sales, Adsense, affiliate marketing? How much traffic do I need, what kind, how do I get it, what should I expect?
I understand… I love blogging and am a problogger myself. Every website I create is either a blog or has a blog on it.
The three most popular ways to make money from blogging are to use Adsense, affiliate marketing, and to sale advertising space.
If you have little traffic, the best way to monetize your blog I have found is with Adsense. As you start to get more traffic, you can look at different ways of monetizing your site.
Adsense is very low maintenance & easy to set up, but to get fat checks, you need good clickthrough rates, decent cost per click, and traffic (either a bunch of blogs that earn a little each, or one big site, that has a lot of pages and gets a lot of traffic).
Affiliate marketing is a great complement to Adsense and you only need a decent amount of traffic and clicks to start to make decent money.

Autoblogging is not dead so to speak. Yes, it is true that it is much harder to make money via autoblogging; On the other hand it does not mean you can’t make money with it, just that be prepared to lower your expectations on the amount of money you will make from it.
Be more creative with how you approach autoblogging. Instead of just posting duplicate contents extracted from other websites or republishing of syndicated RSS contents, make it a point to include some comments on extracted articles or intermix syndicated contents with some of your articles
