A recent poll organized by http://www.ShedYourWeight.com/ turned up some startling results. People were asked to choose between a lot of money and a hot body.
The results of the poll: an almost perfect tie. But the number of people that voted for the money might have been influenced by the economic hard times.
Everybody seems to be in search of the latest fast weight loss diet or program. But is everybody really that desperate to lose weight and look good? A recent poll organized on ShedYourWeight.com tried to see if there is something even more motivating than having a hot body and being healthy.
The poll pitched one against the other two basic human desires: having a hot body(looking good) and money. Two natural choices considering how intertwined they are.
”I was trying to find something as powerful as the desire to look good. Money popped into my mind. As money and looking good are high up on the list of every person. Our society pushes these values down our throats all the time. So I thought it would be interesting to find out which one would win.” said Raw Andrew.
After 1123 votes the results are in. And they are surprising. It is an almost perfect tie between people who opted for a hot body and the people who wanted the money.
Some of the people that opted for the money said that they could get weight loss surgery after. Others said they preferred the money because they already had a pretty good healthy lifestyle. The money would help them preserve or even improve their current lifestyle.
But the people that chose the hot body had good reasons too. One of them wanted a hot body for the health benefits, not the looks. She is a mother of four boys. Here is what she said “I really need d money right now! … but I also know that I am fatter than ever! So if I had 2 make d choice right now I would say d hot body because I would be healthy and I have 4 boys that depend on me to be around for a long time…”
Another person that took the poll opted for the hot body because as he said it “Hot body because money will never make me happy if I’m not happy with myself.”
Raw Andrew made the following comment about the poll results: “I think more people voted for the money because of the bad economic times we are experiencing nowadays. If we were in a time of prosperity I would expect the hot body and health to win by a large margin. What good is money when your health won’t let you enjoy it?”
